  • Riders are allowed to enter multiple classes but are NOT allowed to enter the same class more than once.
  • Day of Registration Begins Friday at the Bama Slam Saloon 6pm-8pm and will start again on Saturday at 7am-8:30am at the Track
  • Gates Open at 7am, Drivers MUST be registered and all checks must be completed Prior to Drivers Meeting for the respective races

Hooptie Gitdown Overview

General Race Overview

  • Winner is determined by most laps completed.
    • Race will be broken into 2 races if significant number of entrants register.
    • If race is split, each race will be 1 hour or less.
    • If multiple races are held, the top 3 finishing cars for each race will face off in a final to determine the winner
    • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will be awarded the cash from final race
    • 60 Entries or More will constitute breaking the race down into 2 separate races, at 60 minutes per.
    • 100 Entries or more, 3 Races at 30 minutes.
  • Pre Registration is OPEN until Thursday 3/4/21: $40 
  • Regular Registration begins Friday at 6pm: $65 per entry
  • Numbers are drawn after all registrations are completed to determine position
  • ALL RACERS and PASSENGERS must wear DOT APPROVED Helmets and must have Eye protection. Gloves Recommended.
  • ALL RACE MACHINES will be tech inspected prior to races to confirm proper class is registered.
  • ANY Assistance to the driver or vehicle during the race will result in IMMEDIATE FORFEITURE for that race.
  • Questions regarding class selection should only be directed to race officials and/or addressed at the drivers meeting.
  • Any and all unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and you will be disqualified! NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Only 1 false start allowed per racer per heat.
  • Once the race is over you must exit the entrance/exit ramp of the pit and return to the staging area in a safe manner.
  • You will be allowed at least 5 min between heats/main event races.
  • Participants should not consume any alcoholic beverages, drugs, or any other type of contraband on the day of the competitions. Any party found or reported to be under the influence will be immediately disqualified from competition for that day. ALL RACERS are subjected to being BREATHALYZED at the discretion of race officials at any time!
  • Drivers must keep their machines inside of the marked course at all times during the event. Drivers who exit the race course will be disqualified. Drivers that are forced off the track will not be punished for this offense.

**ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. ALL QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO RACE OFFICIALS.

 

Rules & Regulations

  • Cars, Trucks and SUVs ARE allowed
  • Convertibles ARE NOT allowed
  • DOT Full Face Helmets are Required
  • No Glass. All Glass in the Vehicle must be completely removed. This includes headlights, taillights & marker lights. 
  • Wire mesh or vertical steel bars must be welded in place of windshield.
  • No Airbags. All airbags must be removed
  • Harnesses must be installed and properly working
  • Racing seats are allowed
  • No Foam Filled, Run Flat or Ball Filled tires allowed
  • Doors MUST be welded or chained shut
  • Factory engines only, (Factory installed turbos or factory installed supercharger are allowed.)
  • Factory bumpers only
  • Factory Gas tank in its original location or a fuel cell securely mounted in trunk or bed.
  • Battery must have a secondary retention, (i.e. ratchet strapped.)
  • Brakes must be in good working order
  • Roll Cages are not required but recommended
  • There are no traditional caution flags. If your vehicle becomes immobile it will be left on the track and become an obstacle on the course.
  • ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE A NAME
  • Each driver will draw for his/her position
  • One passenger per vehicle is allowed in the front passenger seat but must meet and maintain all safety requirements of the driver.
  • Unsportsmanlike Conduct is grounds for IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION
  • Every Racing vehicle MUST have a fire extinguisher secured safely in their vehicle

SxS Race Format

(Each Class will follow the same format listed below):

2 SxS Classes

  • Turbo SxS
  • Naturally Aspirated SxS
  • 2 Racers at a time
  • Double Elimination Bracket Racing (Winners and Losers Bracket)
    • Qualification Round Winners Advance to Winners Bracket
    • Qualification Round Losers move to Elimination Bracket
  • 3 Laps around the Track Per Race
  • CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS will be 6 Laps for each class
  • Qualification Round Winners Advance to Winners Bracket
  • Losers move to Elimination Bracket
  • Note: This is a double Elimination Racing Bracket. The Championship Race will feature the Winners Bracket Racer vs the Losers Bracket Racer
  • In the Championship Race for EACH CLASS, the Representative from the Losers Bracket MUST win two races vs the Winners Bracket Representative to claim the championship

**PRE-RACE**

  • Numbers are drawn after all registrations are completed to determine the participants order of heats.
  • ALL RACERS and PASSENGERS must wear DOT APPROVED Helmets and must have Eye protection. Gloves Recommended.
  • Race Officials have the right to adjust your class based on machine modifications and class size registration.
  • ALL RACE MACHINES will be tech inspected prior to races to confirm proper class is registered.
  • ANY Assistance to the driver or vehicle during the race will result in IMMEDIATE FORFEITURE for that race.
  • Questions regarding class selection should only be directed to race officials and/or addressed at the drivers meeting.

Note: All Racing SxS Vehicles MUST HAVE HARNESSES, Not all Seatbelts are considered harnesses.

SxS Race Rules

  • One (1) Passenger allowed in the SxS Classes

Naturally Aspirated SxS:

  • All rubberized tires allowed. Custom cut of tires is allowed, but no material may be added to treads.
  • NO engine modifications including turbos, superchargers, or nitrous are allowed.

Turbo SxS:

  • All rubberized tires allowed. Custom cut of tires is allowed, but no material may be added to treads.
  • Any engine modification including turbos, superchargers, and nitrous are allowed.
  • Must use the original OEM factory frame and any ATV/UTV engine mated to a particular unit.
  • Race Officials have the right to adjust your class based on machine modifications and class size registration.

ATV Race Format

(Each Class will follow the same format listed below):

**NOTE: The ATV Race WILL BE a WET/MUD TRACK

  • 2 ATV Classes
    • Sportsman ATV 750cc and under
    • Outlaw ATV Open Class
  • Double Elimination Bracket Racing (Winners and Losers Bracket)
    • Qualification Round Winners Advance to Winners Bracket
    • Qualification Round Losers move to Elimination Bracket
  • Two Racers at a time
  • 1 Lap around the Track Per Race for all races EXCEPT Championship Race for each class
  • Racers will be one half lap apart at the start of the race.
  • CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS will be 2 Laps for each class.

Note: This is a double Elimination Racing Bracket. The Championship Race will feature the Winners Bracket Racer vs the Losers Bracket Racer. The Championship Race for EACH CLASS will feature 1 Representative from the Winners Bracket and 1 Representative from the Elimination (Loser) Bracket. The Representative from the Losers Bracket MUST win Two Races vs the Winners Bracket Representative to claim the championship.

**ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. ALL QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO RACE OFFICIALS.

ATV Classes:

NO PASSENGERS ALLOWED

Sportsman Class (750cc & below) ATV:

  • 750cc & Under in size.
  • All rubberized tires allowed. Custom cut of tires is allowed, but no material may be added to treads.
  • Must use original factory engine mated to particular unit
  • No power add-ons such as turbos, superchargers, or nitrous are allowed
  • Must run on Gasoline based fuel

Outlaw ATV (Open) Class

  • All rubberized tires allowed. Custom cut of tires is allowed, but no material may be added to treads.
  • Chassis modifications are allowed but must maintain ATV style suspension
  • Power add-ons such as turbos, superchargers, or nitrous are allowed.
  • Any engine mod is allowed as long as the engine is brand specific and is an ATV engine.
  • Must use original factory frame and any ATV/UTV engine mated to particular unit
